I was delighted to be among my fellow Boston DJ's who were honored at this event.  We were the ones that were "there" at the beginning.  And still hold those times very dear to us.

This is a digitized version of the set I played for this event.

The first two songs are dedicated to my personal friend, and a great friend to so many in Boston, Vinnie Peruzzi.  We all miss you very much, Vinnie.

Vol. 1 & 2 is an homage to DJ's Jimmy Stuard* and Danae Jacovidis who I would go to hear at The 1270 and Styx (Boston) respectively in the early 70's. I learned the art of mixing by listening to them, and then trying to replicate some of their mixes back at the college radio station. I still have those notes from some 35+ years ago.

Here I've tried to replicate some of those great mixes along with some of my own to bring you back to those very early days of Disco.
